Keen to discover the hidden gems of the River & Lough Corrib? - Ireland’s largest lake on our doorstep!

Book now for Kayakmór’s adult and junior (ages 11-17) summer kayaking courses. 

Learn the kayaking basics, safety and weather awareness from our experienced qualified instructors who will guide you in stable and comfortable Sea kayaks on tailored tours of River and Lough Corrib.  

On successful completion of the course you will receive a Level 1 Canoeing Ireland skills certificate. Level 2-3 course for improvers/proficient paddlers are also available.

All kayaking equipment is provided free of charge.

If you don’t fancy a course then join us for a relaxing half day tour on River/Lough Corrib, or check out the hot new fleet of surf skis. 

These are fast open (sit on top) kayaks which are used to catch waves, also great craft to develop paddling fitness. Through the summer we are offering adult come and try surf ski events.  

We also sell a wide range of kayaks & paddles and are happy to advise on buying a kayak, paddles etc..

Youth Kayak Courses with Kayakmór. Suitable for all levels and abilities

This year Kayakmor are offering Youth Kayaking Courses for the city of Galway.

We will be using sea kayaks which will allow our groups to cover longer distances and explore the wonderful upper reaches of River Corrib and Lough Corrib.

Our course is designed with safety and fun in mind. The skills we will be covering during the week will be; safety on and off the water,  importance of buoyancy aids & dressing for the conditions, basic kayak strokes, capsizing, rescues and weather awareness.

On completion of this course paddlers will be presented with a Level 1 Kayaking Skills certificate (additional €5 for certificate)

5 half days Monday to Friday 10am - 1pm

Courses starting 8th June and will run Monday to Friday throughout the summer*

Cost: €130 per person

Location: Menlo Pier, near Menlo National School. (10min from centre of Galway)

We will be focusing on use of the wing paddle but the technique applies to normal flats paddles as well. Venue: Lough Corrib near Headford.
