Delighted to spend a day out recently giving a coastal ecology field trip to DCU environmental science students. Amazed to see a full compliment roll up @ 07:00hrs Friday early morning after the traditional students night out. Early start was necessary to catch Low water, and as the morning warmed up we got stuck into studying the rocky shore along the south Dublin coast. Had some fun exploring survey methods before being chased off the shore by quickly rising tide. Revealing for many to see how much shore life was present, even in Dublin!. Weather played ball too which was major bonus. Like to say well done to all students for making the gig and getting stuck in, hope to see you in 2014
